NICU Families

Michael's Feat provides assistance to families in Monmouth and Ocean County from prenatal all the way up to two years old; in addition to bereavement support for the loss of an infant. We partner with local hospitals Monmouth Medical Center; Jersey Shore University Medical Center; CentraState Medical Center; Community Medical Center; Riverview Medical Center; and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as well as OB/GYN doctor’s offices to provide assistance and support for high-risk pregnancies, babies in the Level 2 and 3 NICUs, funeral support, bereavement packages and palliative care for babies who pass away or are terminally ill.

Care packages

Financial assistance regardless of the family's income, including monetary assistance, gas cards, food vouchers, gift cards, medical equipment, transportation and therapies.

We strive to provide the individualized support each family needs while carrying and caring for their seriously ill newborn.

Holidays outreach including NICU baby pictures with Santa and care packages.

Overnight family rooms in the local hospitals.

Family liaison at CHOP.

High-risk pregnancy support.

Awareness, information and support around Trisomy 13.

Someone to talk to during difficult times, we will call or visit during a family's hospital stay so they can feel comforted in knowing they are not alone during this journey.

A lifelong support system that does not end when a child is discharged from the hospital.

The Michael Gerard Puharic Memorial Fund, Inc. (“Michael’s Feat”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of Title 15A of the New Jersey Revised Statutes known as the New Jersey Non- Profit Corporations Act. The above information is being provided by the requesting party to Michael’s Feat so as to provide Michael’s Feat with sufficient information to determine if the requesting party’s circumstances fall within the scope of the Michael’s Feat mission. The fact that the requesting party is seeking assistance does not guarantee that any assistance of any type will be provided by Michael’s Feat, nor is Michael’s Feat obligated under any circumstance to grant any assistance whatsoever to the requesting party. Michael’s Feat does not discriminate based upon race, color, religion, sex, nationality or national origin, ancestry, marital status, age, disability, affectional or sexual orientation, familial status, source of lawful income, or any other characteristic, perceived or actual. The decision whether to provide any assistance to the requesting party, and the form of such assistance, if any, is based solely upon whether the requesting party’s circumstances fall within the scope of the Michael’s Feat mission, and said decision is solely within the determination of the Board of Directors of Michael’s Feat. The Board of Directors is not under any obligation to grant any assistance of any type to any requesting party. If any assistance is provided to the requesting party, additional information and/or execution of release(s) may be required to effectuate the granting of such assistance.
